VOLUNTEERS
Before the Competition — We need volunteers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before the Competition to help with marking the field, moving event props from storage to the field, and setting-up the props.
During the Competition — We need volunteers during the Competition for judging and event timers, manpower to move event props and equipment between events, staffing for our booth, and more.
After the Competition — We also need help after the Competition with clean-up, demobilization and moving the props from the field back to storage.

LOCATION
Warren County, North Carolina
Warren County, North Carolina is located 55 miles north of Raleigh, just south of the Virginia border near Lake Gaston and the Kerr Lake State Recreation Area, roughly between I-85 and I-95. Major roads in Warren County include I-85, US 1 Hwy, US 158 Hwy, US 401 Hwy, NC 43 Hwy, and NC 58 Hwy.

WARRENTON RURAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, the location of the Friday Evening Dinner & Social.

The Warren County Junior Firefighter Competition weekend begins with the Friday Evening Dinner & Social at the Warrenton Rural Volunteer Fire Department. The complimentary Dinner is for all registered competition teams and is included with the team registration fee.
The Social is a casual get-together for youths, advisors, and parents to meet outside of the competition arena, make new friends, and network. Many of the junior firefighters look forward to the Social to see "old friends" from previous Competitions. The dinner is catered by a local restaurateur. The evening includes a live deejay, music, dancing, games, and more! The Social shuts down early so everyone can get a good night's rest for Saturday's Competition. |

Saturday begins with an opening ceremony which includes the presentation of the colors, the National Anthem, and a brief address by the keynote speaker at the Warren County Recreation Complex, 840 US 158 By-Pass Hwy, Warrenton, NC (between Norlina and Macon), just three-tenths of a mile west of Warren County EMS Station-1 (Headquarters).

The WARREN COUNTY RECREATION COMPLEX, home of the Warren County Junior Firefighter Competition.
At the Competition venue there are vendors, exhibitors, and displays of emergency vehicles. Food vendors are available for breakfast and lunch. The appearance of Smokey Bear, the Chick-Fil-A Fire Chief Cow, and the Duke Life Flight helicopter are always crowd-pleasers.
The Rec Complex also has a walking track, playground, and other amenities to enjoy. Restrooms are located by the multi-purpose field (the Competition location) and by the baseball fields facility.
The event is open to the public. Free parking. Free Admission. Alcohol and pets on the Rec Complex property are prohibited.
