YOUTH MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
CharacterDemonstrate good moral character;
have no criminal convictions, and no adverse driving history. |
AgeBe 12* to 20
years of age. |
SchoolMaintain at least a "C" average with no failing classes;
maintain a satisfactory school attendance record. |
Join A VFD
Volunteer with your local fire department
(your VFD will provide you with your gear, equipment, and insurance). |
Dues & FeesRemain current with WCJFF Program dues and membership registration fees
(currently $41 annually). |
Participation
Actively participate in Warren County Junior Firefighters Program meetings, trainings, fundraisers, community service projects, etc.

MEETINGS
NOTE: It is the expectation that all Warren County Junior Firefighters actively participate in as many meetings and activities of the Program as possible. Excessive "unexcused absences" are grounds for dismissal from the Program. "Excused absences" are considered family obligations, extracurrucular activities, and illness. Members should notify the Youth Secretary and/or the Adult Advisors prior to the absence.
The Warren County Junior Firefighters Program meets several times through out the year.

Location: Most meetings are held at Warrenton Rural Volunteer Fire Department, 236 S. Main Street, Warrenton, NC. However, locations may very depending on the training offered.

P U R P O S E
The purpose of the Warren County Junior Firefighters Program is to expose youth at an early age to public safety, then prepare members for a possible career in the fire service by expanding their firefighting knowledge and skills, while concurrently giving community service opportunities, and developing life skills, team-working abilities, and leadership experiences.
M I S S I O N
The mission of the Warren County Junior Firefighters Program is to prepare its members for a career in the fire service and to train its firefighters to accepted firefighting standards through continuing education and hands-on training, while maintaining passing grades in school.
