Warren County
Kids Fire Camp

Not 12 years old yet?  No problem.  Attend the annual Warren County Kids Fire Camp!  It is designed for kids 10 to 14 years old to experience what it is like to be a real firefighter!

The 6-day summer day-camp is usually held the end of June and is sponsored by the Warren County Firemen’s Association in conjunction with the Hawtree Volunteer Fire Department.  The camp is overseen by the Hawtree Fire Chief with assistance from other fire chiefs, fire instructors, firefighters, junior firefighters, and additional volunteers from across the county.

This interactive camp exposes kids to the life of a firefighter.  Campers receive hands-on training on CPR & first aid, firefighting & rescue techniques, fire extinguishers, hoses, ladders, personal protective equipment (PPE), water rescue, wilderness rescue, and of course teamwork.  The camp environment offers kids the opportunity to challenge themselves as well as to create friendships that will last a lifetime!

For more information about the Warren County Kids Fire Camp, please contact Hawtree VFD Fire Chief Steve Barney at HawtreeFD@gmail.com or the Hawtree Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
